Embark on an awe-inspiring coast to coast expedition

On the SILVA Northern Traverse, journey across three national parks on an epic 300km race that follows Alfred Wainwright’s classic ‘Coast to Coast’ route. Take in the dramatic peaks and tranquil lakes of the Lake District, the picturesque valleys and rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, and over the wild terrain of the vast North York Moors.

Plus, enjoy the support of an incredible event team at dedicated support points where you can rest and refuel as you journey from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay.

Journey across the breath-taking Lake District

Looking for a 100km trail running challenge? Discover the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District on the SILVA Lakes Traverse. Starting in St Bees and finishing in Shap, this iconic route covers the best parts of the Lake District, including wild Ennerdale, the rugged Borrowdale Valley, Grisedale tarn, and the sweeping views of the Eastern fells.
